Is Damage Covered?

User-caused damage isn’t covered under the Lifetime Warranty, but we offer:

• Free damage inspections to assess and diagnose issues.
• Complimentary repair attempts when possible, without sharpening.
• Guidance and recommendations on the best options for any repairs needed.

What Voids the Lifetime Warranty?

Sharpening by a non-certified sharpener voids the warranty. However, we still provide free parts replacement for all Akito Scissors, even if they have been serviced by non-certified sharpeners.

Why Certified Sharpeners are important

Our certified sharpeners have extensive experience working with Japanese blades, using advanced techniques and tools. Many other sharpeners lack this expertise, which can result in damage or shorten the scissors’ lifespan. For optimal care, only certified Akito sharpeners should service your scissors.
