The Akito Scissor Service is a complete ten point procedure that takes approximately one hour per scissor; during this process every aspect of the Scissor is thoroughly checked, tested and cleaned. Our experts then begin working upon any anomaly that the testing process may have revealed, the scissor is then honed and returned to their sharpest and optimal performance level.

What Does the Lifetime Warranty Cover?
The Lifetime Warranty safeguards your Akito Scissors against any manufacturing defects.
- Free replacement of faulty parts
- Free inspections if you encounter any issues, helping your scissors maintain peak performance. (excluding shipping costs)
Is Damage Covered?
User-caused damage isn’t covered under the Lifetime Warranty, but we offer:
- Free damage inspections to assess and diagnose issues.
- Complimentary repair attempts when possible, without sharpening.
- Guidance and recommendations on the best options for any repairs needed.
What Voids the Lifetime Warranty?
Sharpening by a non-certified sharpener voids the warranty. However, we still provide replacement parts for all Akito Scissors, even if they have been serviced by non-certified sharpeners.
Why Certified Sharpeners are important
Our certified sharpeners have extensive experience working with Japanese blades, using advanced techniques and tools. Many other sharpeners lack this expertise, which can result in damage or shorten the scissors’ lifespan. For optimal care, only certified Akito sharpeners should service your scissors.
